Life story

I’ve been familiar with this game for a couple of years now (since 2018). But there is one interesting story that I will tell you now. I’m a lover of challenging games. Which require the player to adapt to it. And in a simple way: “In the beginning it hurts, in the end it’s sweet”. And the difficulty in this game brought me to a state that I did not want to allow. When I first started playing, I cursed many times, saying, “Well, there wasn’t a bullet there.”!", "Wrong direction!", "One HP left, let me survive!". My nervous system needed a break from all this aggression. And at one point, out of the rink (replay of the game), they killed me, and the accumulated anger spilled out! Not on the table! Not on the keyboard! I decided to delete the game. Saying, "This game is too hard for me". I didn’t play it anymore. But a year later, while walking through a folder with games that were not installed (then I wanted to clear space on my hard drive), I came across this game again… Then I thought: “Maybe I should try to beat it?"Expecting a fit of rage and the subsequent deletion of the game, I installed it and started playing. The game I hated with all my heart became my favorite game!

What is Enter The Gungeon?

Enter The Gungeon is an action-packed roguelike game. I’ll tell you about the roguelike genre itself (everyone should know about action).

A roguelike is a game where the main thing is: dying is good (reboot constantly). Many rooms connected by passages. All content is unlocked gradually, and even after the end of the game, you will still have unopened content, and you can continue to replay the game (a good “time killer”). Gameplay

This is where the fun begins. Every game should have a feature, and this game has its own feature. Cannons! Weapons! Firearms! Could be anything! Literally! You can fight your enemies with a regular AK-47, but did you know that there is a version of the same weapon, but it will be spaghetti! Will be worse than the original AK-47.

Do you like peas? Congratulations! You can fight with a cannon that shoots peas! But there is one thing, this pea shooter is the weakest weapon in the game.

Mega extinguisher, it’s a water pistol! More precisely, a water weapon. They can spill water all over the room! And make beautiful waves that kill your fps.

I can talk like this for a very long time, in Enter The Gungeon, there are a lot of guns, they are all special, and useful in different ways. There are also items in the game that give different bonuses, they can link synergies with your gun. Synergy is something like a bonus for a weapon, or for an item. But synergy from an item (weapon) can only connect with a specific item (weapon). An unprecedented cloud of these items. What can I say?!? one of the items can give you a suspicious pig that will follow you. It may seem to you that it is useless, but when you have one HP left and a bullet hits you, a sight will appear that will shoot at you, and the whole rink will end. But a pig will quickly run up to you and take this shot upon himself! This way she will save you! You can continue playing! And you will receive tears because the pig sacrificed its life for you so that you can win! I will always remember this pig. Thank you.

The game is divided into floors, it is one huge location with its own room design and its own personal bosses. There are five floors in total. There is also a sixth floor, but to go there, you need to complete the game with all the characters!

Bosses. There are a good bunch of bosses here, each floor has its own three bosses. Besides the fifth, there is one main boss. There are also bosses for each character. And secret bosses. Of the secret bosses, I can give an example: in front of the room with the boss, there is a door in the form of a skull whose eyes speak. Well, if you’re lucky, this door could become your boss! Didn’t expect it? Me too.

By the way, I forgot to mention, in Enter The Gungeon, there may be a lot of enemies in the room, and a lot of bullets. How to dodge them? Roll! This is the most important thing! You can roll through a bullet without taking damage! With a roll you can jump over the abyss! You can make tea and pet the cat with a roll! Okay, okay, I went too far here, but everything else is true! Pacifiers will also help you survive! These faithful cartridges can burst with one press of a button, and remove all enemy bullets! And briefly stun enemies. You can use pacifiers to open secret passages. Very good item, use it with caution. After all, they are not endless.

Plot

The plot you need will be told immediately when you turn on the game. Briefly about the plot "There was a tower, a huge bullet fell on the tower, and now many monsters live there. People came to this tower for the most important thing. The gun that kills the past! A man who wants to kill his past can use this gun. But to get to it, you have to go through all five floors. Yes, as you understand, the characters we play for want to kill the past. Something happened in their past that they want to change. People who want to kill their past are called "Orazhelians". And you will meet such travelers in special cages, how they got there? No idea! But you have to save them! And you can get bonuses in the form of new traders and just cool people. You should have seen how happy I was when I killed the past gunman for the first time, screams of joy, and dancing to the music in the end credits. Speaking of music!

Soundtracks

The music here is very well done! Each floor has its own accompaniment music. During the battle there is a soundtrack. The last boss of the fifth floor has a separate soundtrack when the third phase of the boss begins. Special soundtracks for rooms, such as Winchester’s shooting gallery (local magician) and shop. One of the reasons I liked Enter The Gungeon was the graphics. The graphics here are in pixel art style. If you tweak the settings, you can improve the shadows, the glow of effects, the glow of some objects, and the glow of bullets! In all this graphics there are elaborate moments that you don’t believe in, and you say: “This pixel art animation was made by a person?" I said, looking at the background in the end credits.
